Wildcats on Tour!
On Monday, May 20, many high school students toured Palomar and Cal State San Marcos Colleges with Mr. Ernesto, Dr. Dan, Miss Reyes, Miss Sands, and Ms. Sansbury. The Wildcats arrived at Palomar at 9:30 a.m. and met with our tour guides at the hand-crafted wooden clock-tower created by graduate students from the class of 1975. Palomar College has some incredible opportunities in the arts ranging from woodworking to theater to photography; they even offer a degree in fine arts. Palomar also has 1-year programs, like drone certifications at no cost to the student (1st year is free), that can earn people up to 150$ per hour or even 2,000$ per weekend job. Additionally, Palomar has 17 sports to choose from. In the fall of 2024, Palomar will debut its first-ever football stadium. Students who attend are also eligible for up to 25 pounds of free food per month. The opportunities are endless and Palomar does everything they can to break down barriers and obstacles. Please enjoy our photos from the day😊 What was your favorite fun fact?
After the 2-hour tour ended, we decided to head to the next campus, Cal State San Marcos (CSUSM), and eat the lunches that had been so graciously provided to us by Miss Andrea and Miss Juana. Thank you for the water bottles and delicious lunches! We arrived at our next tour on time at 12:30 p.m. and spent some time scanning a QR code intended to make connecting to the college simple. We saw art, Steve, a classroom, the Library, the Student Union, the Veterans Center, and more. This tour was filled with warmth, exploration, and staircases. Please enjoy the photos from today😊 What was your favorite part?
