Charter schools are public schools that may provide instruction in any of grades K-12 that are created or organized by a group of teachers, parents, community leaders or a community-based organization. They are usually authorized by an existing public school board.

Warner Unified authorizes a variety of charter schools that have different goals and procedures that aim to provide choices in learning opportunities. As the authorizer for these charters, we have the responsibility to provide oversight and ensure accountability.
