Warner Unified will be delivering Lunches tomorrow to SY, Lake Henshaw, Ranchita, Los Coyote, Sunrise Submit, and Paradise Valley at noon. Please be at the pickup location on time to receive your meals. If you haven't signed up, please call the district office to be added to the list.
During advisory today we had Jamie Zeller as our guest career speaker. She was a 911 Police/Fire Dispatcher for 18 years for the City of Escondido and is now a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Poway. Thank you Jamie!

Tonight’s After School program cooking class was one for the books! Great job Lila, Liah, Paige, Mya, Mundy, MJ, Crystal, Elaine and GG!!!
Second semester Art 1, which I refer to as Art 2, consists of guided, self-directed student projects which include a summary of a student chosen cultural art, notable period of time and/or art movement, an original art work reflecting the students' chosen summary subject and an artist’s statement.
I would like to share some excellent student works and their accompanying artist statement which includes:
A title and medium of the artist’s work, a description of the artwork itself, a description of the subject matter and choice of medium.
The purpose of an artist’s statement is to provide insight into a work of art, not only to the viewer but the artist themselves.
Texture Projects Art 1
Warner Springs High School students have finished a series of texture assignments.
The assignment included;
1)Take a cellphone photo that contains 3 actual (real) textures in one shot.
2)Create a simulated texture artwork (reproducing the actual, real texture of an object).
3)Create an invented texture artwork (changing the actual texture of an object to something else, or inventing a texture by using a printing technique such as rubbing over or imprinting an existing texture).
4)Create an abstract texture artwork where the texture itself is the main focus of the work).
On Monday Boys club conducted a STEM project building towers with spaghetti and styrofoam! Good job Mundy and JP!

Our Advisory class just wrapped up the first 6 weeks of learning about all aspects of Mental Health. Now we will be starting Career Exploration. Today we had SSG.Geraci from the California National Guard. Thank you for speaking to our Warner students today! Artwork from Warner High School Art 2 students. The artwork labels include; the student artist’s first name and last name initial, the title of the art work, the culture, art time period or art movement which the student researched and used as inspiration to create their own original work of art, the art materials used.

There has been changes once again at the state level, this change will allow us to go back to delivering lunches. If you would like to have a weeks worth of lunches prepared for delivery. Preschool first day
Boys club showed off their creativeness during our Stem project! Mundy used several paints and yarn to make his plane fly. Jairo used markers to color his, JP didnt have glue so he improvised with peanut butter, Good job guys!
First Grade is honoring Hispanic Heritage Month by reading books that celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and voices of Spanish speaking countries. Today’s lesson was about the inside and outside character traits of mariachi cantante, Gustavo!

A reminder that Friday September 25th is Native American Day. It is a day to celebrates the cultures and contributions of the many Native American tribes. In honor of that day there will be no school. Lunch pickup will be on Thursday.
