Warner Parent, This is superintendent Dave MacLeod with an important reminder. Tomorrow we are delivering the next set of packets, week 5 through 8 which will take us to May 15th. We will be handing out the packets at the school from 8 to 11 am in the cafeteria. We will also be handing them out at the lunch drop-off sites at 11:30 am. The drop off locations are SY tribal hall, Lake Henshaw, Ranchita store, Los Coyote Tribal hall, Sunrise Summit store, and Paradise Valley trailer park. We will also be collecting any outstanding packets. Teachers are reporting a poor rate of return so far. Parents please make sure you students are working on this material, as it will be graded and entered on their transcript. Teachers are available if students need assistance. Thank you and have a good night.

Good Morning Warner Parents, As we assess the Covid-19 crisis we will be keeping school closed indefinitely until further notice. Teachers are available to support students with any help they need. A reminder that we will still be delivering lunches this Friday, even though it is Spring Break. We will still collect packet work at the drop-off sites. Packet 3 and 4 will be due April 17th. If you have not turned in Packet 1 or 2 please do so this Friday before your teacher starts chasing you down. I want to remind parents to have their students check their Warner emails for correspondence from their teachers. Teachers have been reaching out to students and many are not responding. Parents please make sure your child is working on their work daily so they don't get too far behind. We understand this can be a challenging time for everyone, we hope everyone is safe and that we get through this soon. Stay Safe

Friday's Food distribution had some extra help. We had some volunteers from San Diego County Office of Education bring up extra food and help out. We worked with our neighboring school District of Spencer Valley to find some extra food. We had a donation from the San Diego Food bank thanks to the Patrice from the Warner Resource Center. I also want to shout out to my wonderful team of Rhonda, Shannon, Julie, Carla, and Blanca for making this happen. This all goes to helping families out, thank you eveyone.

This is a message from SDG&E. Please share out. We want to remind you of SDG&E’s direct assistance programs that can help people experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19.  Many may qualify for SDG&E assistance programs and bill discount programs.  Those programs are available at https://www.sdge.com/residential/pay-bill/get-payment-bill-assistance/assistance-programs and include the following:   California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE): Provides a 30% or more discount on monthly bills for customers with qualifying current household income or customers who are participating in certain public assistance programs.  Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA): If a customer doesn’t qualify for CARE, they may qualify for FERA, which provides income-qualified households of three or more with a reduced electric rate (12%) on their monthly bill. Medical Baseline Allowance: Customers who have a qualifying medical need or necessarily use a medical device (i.e. for a compromised immune system, life-threatening illness, or any condition where additional heating and air conditioning or a qualifying device is medically necessary to sustain a person’s life) are eligible for a significant discount on their energy bill.  Household income is not a factor for qualifying, but a doctor’s certification on the application is required.

We sure love bragging about the class of 2020! Lorrie Gregory participated in many sports, Class Council, and was also in FFA serving as an officer. Lorrie is kind, intelligent and once she sets her eyes on something there is no stopping her. Lorrie, we are so proud of you for taking that "what if" chance at applying for college....because look at you now! Cal State San Marcos just gained a one of kind! Way to go Lorrie!
