Hello Everyone,
My name is Shanell Sands; I am the School counselor here at Warner. I am very exciting to be here and to have the opportunity to do what I love. I am a passionate and creative person. As a counselor my role is to be a student advocate while also promoting positivity and getting students on the right track for college and career. I am also here to provide guidance and social/emotional support if needed. I let the student know that my door is always open, if they need some support or have any questions.
I received my BA in Education with a minor in Child development, because I wanted to teach. While doing some student teaching I discovered I wanted to help in smaller groups while still working with student so I went on to get my Masters in School Counseling with a PPS credential.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 boys. Moreover, once or twice a month I try and get some me time by scrapbooking or writing, anything I can do to use my creative.

Dear Warner families, I'm excited to share that masteryhour.org is offering free online math tutoring to K-12th grade children at Warner Elementary
Masteryhour.org tutors are vetted, student volunteers from top universities and STEM professionals. They have been trained in innovative teaching techniques including: best practices for online teaching, anti-bias and child-centered communication. It's their mission to provide the highest quality tutoring available to your students for free, by empowering them to love math and develop problem solving skills that will encourage them to learn independently.

Tutoring sessions are primarily conducted online, but parents may request phone sessions as well.

The FFA Officer team competed in their first speech contest of the year! Congratulations Abby (10th), Taylor (12th), Lion (12th), Nanny (10th), Stefany (10th) and Angel (11th) on placing silver in the Opening Closing Speech Contest! Taylor was announced the outstanding officer!
