Dear Warner High School Parents,
We had a positive COVID-19 case on the High School campus. I have personally called each close contact and alerted them. If you didn't receive a call then your child was not deemed a close contact. We are going to also quarantine the whole high school as an extra precaution. This is to ensure there is no further spread. Please make sure your students are reaching out to their teachers for their assignments. We will have Chromebooks, hotspots, and assignments available soon at the district office for pickup. The students can return after Thanksgiving week on Nov. 29th. If you have questions or concerns, please email me at david.macleod@warnerusd.net
Advisory students today played a communication game! One partner has the drawing, the other partner has to blindly recreate it!

9th graders started their short story unit this week! Yesterday we read, Langston Hughes' short story, "Thank You Ma'am" - a story that explores motherhood, forgiveness, kindness, and charity. Today, students are writing theme analyses and are finding poignant messages and articulating them beautifully.

For our last speech of the trimester, Public Speaking student Wom'$i chose to educate us on a very crucial issue: the alarming rate of Native American women who go missing. She provided us with well-researched statistics, specific examples, and wonderful resources on how to help. Thank you Wom'$i for choosing to speak from the heart about a problem that needs so much more attention!
